of Margaret Atwood's classic dystopian novel this production is suitable for years 10 and 11 studying Drama,
Citizenship, English Literature or PSHE even if they have not studied the novel.
Which is more important - the freedom to live our lives as we please or freedom from crime, terrorism and
persecution? The performance can include an interactive seminar / workshop in which the events of the play will be
discussed in the light of current debates about personal freedom in the post 9/11 world . Interactive voting
technology
will be used allowing the participants to have their say on a number of ethical and moral dilemmas.
