Citizenship Education ... |

Drawing together the best of both Critical Engagement and Money Matters into one coherent strand of
work, Future Citizens Programmes provide an integrated approach to Citizenship Education which aims
to provide young people with the skills and knowledge to manage personal finance, understand their
rights as consumers and fulfil their democratic responsibilities. By combining both political and financial
issues, a Future Citizens programme of productions and workshops can help equip young people with a
broad contextual understanding of the interrelationship between financial capability and democratic
engagement and, furthermore , to recognise the place of culture in becoming an 'active citizen'.
Future Citizens productions include:
Who Runs This Place?
The Rights Stuff!
At Home with the Wiltons
and the following full day events:
Local Democracy Day I
Local Democracy Day II
Youth Select Committee Day
Financial Capability Day
