Local Democracy Day I |

LDD I - the democracy day event which connects young people with local decision makers. |
The LDD I includes:
- A performance: either Who Runs This Place? or The Rights Stuff!
- What to do with the Wasteground? This interactive workshops picks up on one of the issues from the play
and, using our trademark electronic audience voting system, allows the participants the opportunity to take on
the role of a councillor and engage in a difficult planning decision.
- Backchat: A one hour mini consultation on a local issue of your choice, designed and led by one of our
experienced facilitators. Previous topics have included: local transport, youth provision, anti-social behaviour
and opportunities for participation. A chance to get a taste of what young people really think.
- Political Speed Dating - A fun and light hearted way for the participants to interact with their local Councillors.
Like conventional Speed Dating each session consists of a series of 3 minute 'Dates' (or interactions). Proceedings
are overseen by our infamous virtual host Mr 'Big' D. Mocracy and his real life assistant Marjory.
