What?
A Financial Capability Day is a full day activity for 120 young people which gives them the opportunity to:
- Learn about personal finance and financial capability
- Take part in a chat-show style debate about debt
- Get hands on experience about how the pressures of supply and demand affect prices
- Try their hand at running a not-for-profit organisation
How does it work?
At the beginning of the day the participants are split into four groups and then take part in the following
activities in rotation:
- At Home with the Wiltons - Performance

Electronic voting workshop - (for details click here)
- Buy, Buy, Sell, Sell!
A fast paced stock trading simulation in which participants form banks, trade commodities, but and sell shares
and much more.
- The Adamson Contract: You're Hired!
Millionaire philanthropist Sir Adam Adamson is looking for a new management team for one of his charities. Part
board game, part simulation with a video host, the participants have to prove they have got what it takes by taking
the helm of a fictional not-for-profit organization and steering it to success. but only one team will hear Sir Adam
say "You're hired!".
